Cats Protection:  The primary rescue site for felines.  There are regional centres so find the one most local to you if you wish to adopt.

DogLost: A site that is free of charge where you can post details  if your dog goes missing.  You can upload a photo of your lost dog to help others recognise your animal.
Secret World:  A rescue centre in Somerset that  specialises in the rescue, rehabilitation and eventual release of orphaned and injured wild creatures.
Charter for Compassion: Bringing together voices from all religions, all nations, all backgrounds, the Charter seeks to remind the world that we already share the core principles of compassion.
Whale & Dolphin Conservation Society: Established back in 1987, the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society (WDCS), is the leading global charity dedicated to the conservation and welfare of all whales and dolphins (also known as cetaceans).  In short, they  are the world voice for the protection of these animals, creating pressure to bring about change.  Sadly our world's cetaceans are in decline due to the polluting of our oceans.
Adoption Time in Avsallar:  This group is dedicated to the rescue and rehoming of cruelly treated and starving cats and dogs in Avsallar in Turkey.  A dedicated and selfless woman called Manuela is feeding all those needy animals that she can on a daily basis and also organising veterinary help when needed.  Some lucky cats and dogs have been rehomed in different countries through the donations of this dedicated group.  Please help.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Foundation:  This is a UK-based charity dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals.  PETA educate the public and policymakers about cruelty to animals and promote an understanding of the right of all animals to be treated with respect, not to  be used for humans for food, clothing or "entertainment".
ABTC    Register  of Accredited Animal  Behaviourists.  This is where to go if you are looking for a reputable behaviourist for advice.  Split into regions to help you find someone local to you so much easier to find someone

Scooby Medina:  Scooby Medina is a leading association dealing with the rescue of Galgos (Spanish Greyhounds) in Spain and the largest shelter in the country for all sorts of animals, including all sorts of dogs, cats and even farm animals. Contact them to see how you can help the animals of Scooby. Adopt. Virtually Adopt. Donate. Volunteer. Every little bit helps.
Patrick Gamble: A  friend who is a wonderful psychic artist.  Patrick paints through his guide John and is able to paint your Spirit Guides and Helpers whilst also giving you any spiritual messages that come through.
Holisticvet: This is a veterinary consultancy based in Bath, North Somerset.  Nick Thompson offers homoeopathy, acupuncture, nutritional advice and herbal medicine for horses, dogs and cats. He really knows his stuff. 
Society for the Welfare of Horses and Ponies: Based in Monmouth in Wales, all the animals they rescue are nursed back to health and then found 'adoptive' homes, where they are checked once a year by one of the  volunteers. Some return to an active life; others go into retirement as companions to other horses but they remain the property of SWHP.  The SWHP currently owns over 250 horses & ponies, a huge financial commitment.
Humane Society International (HSI):  This embodies the international programs of The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), a charitable nonprofit organization founded in 1954 with a constituency of more than ten million people. Humane Society International oversees and coordinates the work of The HSUS abroad, addressing animal issues that cross many borders and impact millions of animals worldwide.
​Caring for our pets when disaster strikes: This site gives good advice regarding our pets whenever we may be faced with a disaster, e.g. floods, extreme storms, etc  and although it is not something we want to think about, this is important information
